Polar Bears and Cubs

Wapusk National Park in Manitoba, Canada is the largest polar bear maternity denning area in the world. The mother bears enter the dens in late November and give birth to 600 gram bubs who then feed and grow until they emerge 3 months later in February and March so their Mother can head to Hudson Bay to have her first meal in 6 - 8 months.
